Adding a COOL Identity

1. When you first enter the COOL Identity option, a Select An Option window will appear; select ADD.

2. At the ID field, enter a unique four-character code to be associated with the identity.

After entering the COOL ID, a Cool Label window will appear, allowing you to "build" an identity by mixing and matching the methods of productions and countries you have defined.

EXAMPLE: By creating country codes of "ARG" & "USA" and method of production codes of "Product of'" & "Processed in", you can create a COOL Identity "Product of Argentina, Processed in the USA".

3. Enter the two-character method ID.

You can also press F3 to display a list of defined methods of production. Use the arrow keys to navigate within the table. Press Enter to select the method you wish to use in the COOL identity. An asterisk indicates the method has been selected. Press F10 to confirm your selection and exit the table.

4. Enter the country code.

You can also press F4 to display a list of country codes. Use the arrow keys to navigate within the table. Press Enter to select the country you wish to add to the COOL Identity.

Note: You can use more than one method of production and/or country.

Note: Use a plus sign (+) in place of "and" when building longer COOL identities. Example: "Wild Caught Product of China" + "Processed in the USA".

5. Press Enter in the Cool field to exit the COOL Identity builder when you are done entering method of production and country information.

6. When you have finished and exited the Identity builder, you will see the finished label under the COOL and ID fields. Command options will appear allowing you to Add Cool or Exit. Select Add Cool to save your COOL Identity or select Exit to exit without saving.

7. When finished, you will be returned to the COOL ID field, where you can begin creating another identity. If you are done creating identities, press Enter, then select EXIT to return to the main menu.

Note: Some identities are included in the system by default.

Note: If you attempt to add a COOL Identity that already exists under a different ID, you will get a warning message that reads: "Duplicate COOL under ID XXXX !!! Space Bar to Continue". Pressing the space bar will exit the Identity builder without saving the new identity.
